WGDO attends the Sino-Danish Design Seminar at the Danish Embassy in Beijing

The World Green Design Organisation was invited to attend the Sino-Danish Design Seminar on the 28th of October 2014 in Beijing, China. The seminar was hosted by the Royal Danish Embassy, and sponsored by Shenzen RRIOO Technology Co. Ltd.

The seminar explored themes of Danish design principles and how they can be of inspiration to newly emerging Chinese designers and ever-increasing demand for quality design in China. Several keynote speakers introduced possibilities and future prospects for design cooperation between China and Denmark.

The opening speeches were given by the Danish Minister for Culture, Ms Marianne Jelved, and the Ambassador of Denmark to China, Mr Friis Arne Petersen. Other presenters in the seminar included the CEO of Design Denmark, Mr Morten Gron, and the Executive Vice-President and Secretary General of Shenzhen Industrial Design Association (SIDA), Ms Shirley Feng.

The seminar also presented several successful design case presentations by honourable guests, such as the Associate and Head of Business Development in Asia at Schmidt/Hammer/Lassen Architects, Mr Rasmus Duong-Grunnet, and the Director of Seidenfaden Design, Mr Troels Seidenfaden. The seminar participants were optimistic about the future of design cooperation between European and Asian organisations and individuals.

The World Green Design Organisation is actively exploring possibilities for cooperation with European embassies and design organisations.
